The majority of my experience is with children and young people, but I have enjoyed working with adults too.
I have over thirteen years’ experience at Waldegrave Secondary school, working with students in the Special Educational Needs department, with issues such as:
- Challenging behaviour
- Anxiety
- Eating disorders
- Self-harm
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Dyslexia
- Autism
- Aspergers Syndrome
- Depression
Additionally, I have worked with disadvantaged Year 11 students over the past ten years, on issues, including self-esteem; being a carer to a parent/sibling; dealing with addiction; gang membership, keeping safe sexually and abuse-free; using social media safely; dealing with exam stress. Similarly, I worked for one academic year at Reach Academy with Place2Be, counselling children aged seven, eleven and fourteen, with a wide range of issues. Finally, I volunteered at Phoenix Services in Feltham; I worked with adults here for over a year, covering a broad range of issues, including complex trauma, anxiety and anger management.
